Darn ditital camera.  It has decided to break on me and I don't have the extra money to replace it right now... stupid technology. :)

And I have 6 new dresses, two hoods and a hat and no way to take pictures, go figure.

I made a nice hand sewn green wool V-necked gown lined in gray wool, for Crown tourney.  I was so glad to have that!! it was raining and cold!!  The only part of me that was cold were my feet.  I need to get on the stick about getting some stockings made up.  I've only missplaced two sets of them, where does all my stuff end up going?  I can't find my box of sewing scissors either.

I also have completed a hand sewn red V-necked gown with gray linen lining.   I use the straight front seam pulled apart to open the V method for constructing this dress.  If I had my camera I could show what I'm talking about... sigh... save that for later.

I also have a new hand sewn red wool hood and a blue silk brocade kirtle linned with red linen.  I like this one very much.  The silk is modern, but I'll take it.

Then I made a neat grey wool kirtle lined in blue linen.  Very very sweet this one :)  I need to reset the sleeves as I struggled to put them in backwards.  I was wondering why the sleeves were being so troublesome. :)  Geeze!!  At least I had not trim off the excess in the underarm yet.  That was a huge relief.  I tend to leave the excess in for one wearing to make sure I'm happy with the fit of the sleeves before I finish off the under arms.  Saved my cookies this time. :)  This will be an very nice working class kirtle.  I have the green linen long sleeved kirtle to go underneath to do.  The outfit will be very nice once I get it all done up. Red hood, grey dress, green under gown.

The hat is a woven short "pillbox" syled hat.  I put stamped brass "bezants" on it for decoration.  I also put pearls on the top edge to represent my baroness-ness.  It will be a very snazzy simple hat to wear with my new red V-neck.

My sewing fingers show all this work too!! With a few days off my left hand has remarkebly recovered from the sewing abuse. As my father has said... " It is criminal what my right hand has done to my left hand"

And my Pensic garb sits and waits... I have 2 of the 10 kirtles done, I just keep comming up with different projects to do.   Sigh oh well.  I am trying to convice myself that there is plenty of time :)  I keep finding fabric in my stash that says kirtle though :)  I've got at least 5 cut out and waiting for me to sew them.  It is a good thing I finally found the presser foot to my sewing machine.  I also plan to hand sew two of the kirtles I have cutout.  Nice wool ones to :)

I am also starting on the plans for a complete15th century "Dandy Man" outfit for my husband.  I did some research and showed him a bunch of manuscripts and he actually liked the same coat that I wanted to make.  That husband of mine is so sweet, he lets me dress him silly :)

Have fun,
